A share account is opened when you join the credit union with a minimum balance of $5 to maintain this account. Your shares represent ownership of the credit union. Dividends on our accounts are calculated on the average daily balance and paid and compounded quarterly.


Share Checking accounts require a $25 minimum deposit to open, but no minimum balance after initial deposit is required thereafter. There is no monthly service charge, no per check fee, and your first 50 checks are free. Direct deposit is available for payroll checks. Statements are mailed monthly.


The PTFCU takes the worry out of finding extra money for holiday needs. Christmas Club checks are mailed in early November - in plenty of time for your Christmas shopping.


Certificates are time deposits which pay higher dividends than regular share accounts. A minimum deposit of $1,000 for a period of 12 months is available. Dividends are paid semi-annually.


An individual retirement account allows members to save for retirement and to defer taxes on income plus interest until withdrawn. The Traditional IRA and the Roth IRA are offered. Dividends are paid semiannually.


PTFCU offers a wide variety of loans ar a competitive rate. Any member who has been currently employed for 6 months may make application.

Temporary disability life insurance is available on loans for an additional charge.

Interest on loans is computed on the unpaid balance which helps you save money and there is no penalty for early repayment.


All accounts are insured to at least $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an agency of the federal government. To assure that sound management and accounting principles are being followed, annual audits are conducted by the Supervisory Committee with the aid of an outside auditing firm. The credit union is also examined yearly by the NCUA.
